Theme for 2022 International Literacy Day

The theme for 2022 is; “Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces; Exploring Opportunities and Possibilities.”

International Literacy Day is an international Event celebrated every year on 8th September, which was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 at the 14th session of UNESCO's General Conference.

It was celebrated for the 1st time in 1967. Its aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to every individuals, communities and societies. Celebrations take place in various countries

Celebrations of International Literacy Day includes various specific themes, in line with Education For All goals and other United Nations programs such as the United Nations Literacy Decade.

Malala Yousafzai a famous education activist from Pakistan has said “They cannot stop me. I will get my education if it is in the home, school, or any place.”

Let’s make resolution this year we can motivate the people around us to work towards ensuring education and literacy for all by spreading these motivational messages on International Literacy Day 2022
